Just had to let you know how very much I enjoyed "Silly Puppy". I landed on "Hungry Couple" from another blog I was reading, but quickly zeroed in on Hadley...she is adorable...and I read each and every post...laughing at her antics and crying with your frustration. The NYT article comments infuriated me as they did you. While my precious little Beagle Boys (Munchkin and ChiChi) are both rescues, there is no reason on earth for anyone to begrudge another the dog of their dreams because it's from a breeder.
I feel like I know you and Hadley, and have spent a very pleasant evening with you both. Thanks for a wonderful time! Vicki
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you about the Bacon Bark Sticks recipe I saw on another blog http://spoonforkbacon.com/2011/09/bacon-bark-sticks/ Hadley may enjoy them. I haven't made them yet, but if they are half as good as the Boozy Bacon Jam (for people)on that site, they should be well-received by Hadley. I'm also looking forward to making your Peanut Butter Biscuits for my babies.
I just happened upon your food site and there was the one about Hadley. My partner and I have Scooper, a 14-year old Cavalier who is nearly blind and entirely deaf. He wobbles around a bit on shaky pins but I am quite sure he is still enjoying life (even though nearly all of it is spent sleeping). I'd send you a picture but I don't think that's possible via these comments. All best to you, yours, and Hadley.
